Vetëvendosje me aksion popullor kundër privatizimit të KEDS-it

Titulli i e-mailit:  Protest at privatization of KEDS

Teksti i e-mailit:

I am ……. , from ……., a citizen concerned about the privatization of KEDS, the Kosovo Electricity Distribution and Supply network, an enterprise which your company is competing to purchase. The public enterprise which you intend to expropriate from us, through the Thaçi Government, was built by the hard work of Kosovo’s citizens. You should be aware that this privatization process is opposed by the overwhelming majority of Kosovo’s citizens and the employees of KEDS. The latter, together with thousands of citizens, have already protested a number of times against privatization.  Only your partner, Hashim Thaçi supports the process. And the person you have chosen as a partner does not enjoy any of the legitimacy necessary for a process of such significance for our country. Your partner, Hashim Thaçi is the key person responsible for undermining this enterprise with deep corruption, misappropriation and nepotism. Electricity power cuts, rising prices for electricity, and as a result, also for elementary products are just a few signs which indicate what the consequences may be for our citizens. Access to electricity is a fundamental right that each citizen should enjoy. This right cannot be guaranteed by the market and private companies because their interest is to increase profits, but can be protected by a state which cares for the wellbeing of its citizens. If you continue to insist on privatizing KEDS, you must be aware that I and my family, calling on everyone that we know, will confront you in order to stop you and the Government from continuing with this process which is directed against us. We remind you once again that this enterprise is the property of Kosovo’s citizens, and we would like to give you some advice to assist you when thinking about your investment. You should be aware that the profits made from privatizing KEDS will last no longer than the life of the Thaçi Government. Yours sincerely

Titulli i e-mailit: Protest at privatization of PTK

Teksti i e-mailit:

I am ……… , from ………, a citizen concerned about the privatization of Kosovo Telecommunications, an enterprise which your company is competing to purchase. The public enterprise which you intend to expropriate from us, through the Thaçi Government, was built by the hard work of Kosovo’s citizens. You should be aware that this privatization process is opposed by the overwhelming majority of Kosovo’s citizens and the employees of the Kosovo Post and Telecommunications. Even despite this, the enterprise has produced a profit of about 90 million Euros a year, a profit which is essential for the operation of the welfare state. Should the corruption and nepotism of the Thaçi Government be removed, this enterprise would bring Kosovo 130-140 million Euros profit a year. This corruption will not be removed if you privatize this enterprise because your investment itself is corrupt, since it is not based on the consent of employees and citizens, but only that of Hashim Thaçi and his dependents. You are not the solution that we have demanded; instead you are the ones who will take the profits of Kosovo Telecom and leave us with the loss-making Kosovo Post. We are not going to allow this. If you continue to insist on privatizing PTK, you must be aware that I and my family, calling on everyone that we know, will confront you in order to stop you and the Government from continuing with this process which is directed against us. We remind you once again that this enterprise is the property of Kosovo’s citizens, and we would like to give you some advice to assist you when thinking about your investment. You should be aware that the profits made from privatizing the Kosovo Telecoms will last no longer than the life of the Thaçi Government. Yours sincerely.
